Pur Minerals Cinderella Palette. If you can't be a princess you can at least have her makeup.

OK let's talk princesses or more importantly let's talk about their makeup. As soon as I laid eyes on the Cinderella palette from Pur Minerals I knew she would end up in my collection. Now if you aren't a makeup horder like myself and like to research things before you buy them... Well you're in luck! I have tried and tested this little wonder out and am ready to report my findings (how official I sound)

First off is packaging.

Now anyone can see just how whimsical and beautiful this palette is. From the butterfly used to open the top to the Cinderella herself making an appearance on the inside no detail was too small for Pur Minerals. Even the embossing on the package itself is wonderful! In just the right lighting you can see butterflies, clocks, the horses and even the carriage used to carry her to the ball. The bulkiness of the palette is in my opinion a bit of a pain, it's in cardboard packaging so it's not exactly travel friendly and having to keep the plastic inserts on the inside so as to keep the palette clean is not that easy (trust me you drop one of those suckers and it takes a while to find it) BUT those  minor negatives aside I say the beauty of the palette and the way it is presented far outweighs the negatives. It's a wonderful piece to display on your vanity, or if you are like me and a sucker for pretty packaging a fine addition to your collection.

The makeup shades themselves aren't that remarkable, pretty standard pinks, browns and the deepest shade being a purple that I am a little in love with.  Here is a close up of the shades

First I swatched the top row. From left to right is Dazzle a pale pink with a ton of shimmer, Etheral a deeper rose color in a satin finish and finally my favorite of the whole palette Entice a wonderful deep purple color with a bit of shimmer that reminds me so much of my too faced shadow in Poison Orchid.

In the second row you find Elegant a nice brow bone shade,  Breathless a beautiful light brown shade with a frost finish that is my second favorite in the palette and last but certainly not least Tempt a deeper brown shade that although common in most palettes is a staple that you need in any makeup arsenal.

I swatched the highlight, bronzer and blushes all at the same time. From left to right you will see the highlight first which is called Illusion it added a wonderful sparkle to my face without making me look like I dipped my whole head in a vat of glitter, next is the bronzer called Dream and let me tell you it was! It worked wonders for my complexion however I should say I do have fair skin. Next are the two blushes Fairy Tale is a mid toned pink which was surprisingly pigmented and added that pretty pink flush to my skin that we all want and finally my favorite of the two Dream which added that "I just came in from the cold" look. Although I must warn you that a little goes a long way with Dream, go a bit too hard and you cross over in to clown territory.... but hey if that's your thing do you, no judgments.

Now I did not swatch the lipstick colors, mostly because it grosses me out to have to dip a lip brush or even worse my finger into a product continuously BUT I can tell you that I tried them all on once and can give a pretty informed opinion.

Let's start with the top row from left to right you have: Enchant which was by far my favorite! It is a deep cranberry color perfect for fall, next you have Lure a nice dusty pink with a bit of shimmer and last in the row is Imagine a nude color that looked horrendous on me but would look great on someone with a bit of a deeper complexion.  In the bottom row there is Spellbound a cute coral color and my second favorite,  Next is Charm an almost bubblegum pink color that would look great with an end of summer tan and finally there is Fantasy a nudey pink color that would go well with a smokey eye (May I suggest Entice?)

All in all this is a wonderful little palette the shadows are pigmented as are the blushes, bronzer and highlight. Now the shadows do have fallout so I recommend an eyeshadow primer and Dazzle is a bit chalky but for the price and the packaging this is definitely a good deal especially since it is limited edition .

I hope this review was helpful and if you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them. Thank you for coming to my little corner of the internet and reading my ramblings.

Life AKA why can't a goat be a dog?

It was a really random day at work, one of those days where a man confuses a goat with a dog and I spend 20 minutes of my life explaining to him the life choices of a goat do not a goat change. Things slowly went downhill from there and driving home I had that dull throbbing pain behind my left eye associated with staring at a screen for ten hours and suppressing my need to scream.
Any who on to why I started this blog...I really don't know why and frankly I don't think anyone will ever read this much less be interested in the ramblings of a short yet adorable weirdo. I just have so much randomness and general WTFuckery happen in my life that I feel the need to commemorate it. Later on down the line when I am old and decrepit I can look back on my life and see how wonderful, scary, beautiful , sad and just what a blessing it has been, is and continues to be.
